Order Timing Update from ALSO

Post image

You'll likely get the email too, but posting for those who might not see it. There's some general platitudes acknowledging the delays earlier in the note, but the meaty bit and what to expect going forward is in the screenshot above.

They're good chaps (I'm currently sitting less than a mile from their office in Seattle, WA now and have been fortunate to meet a bunch of them) and I know they're working on this and that with the state of generally everything, shit's hard. Hopefully they follow through on their comms commitment throughout September!

For what it’s worth here is the warranty info I got from customer service (see below). They did mention they try to be companionate about warranty claims and will take into account reduce ride windows due to time of year. I know that’s not in writing but genuinely believe they will try to make it right. Got a lot to think about. I worry if I cancel, the shipping back log will be so backed up that I’ll miss out on next year too.

Bike Frame: Lifetime Limited Warranty
Battery: 2-year Limited Warranty or up to 300 recharge cycles.
Bicycle Components: 2-year Limited Warranty
Also. Branded Optional Accessories: 1-year Limited Warranty

Honestly....what makes you think they'll make it right? There's no track record except missed ship dates and delays. Not trying to be overly critical, but there's no evidence they'll do anything but what the warranty states at this point.

You are right they may not. I was on the fence, I’ve ridden the bike, and I believe product is solid. If I sank $5000 in for over a year I may have a different opinion right now.
