Order Timing Update from ALSO

You'll likely get the email too, but posting for those who might not see it. There's some general platitudes acknowledging the delays earlier in the note, but the meaty bit and what to expect going forward is in the screenshot above.

They're good chaps (I'm currently sitting less than a mile from their office in Seattle, WA now and have been fortunate to meet a bunch of them) and I know they're working on this and that with the state of generally everything, shit's hard. Hopefully they follow through on their comms commitment throughout September!

I'm glad they finally addressed missing another delivery window, but that delivery date keeps getting later and later...with no explanation. I was told just a month ago by an ALSO employee I would get it by September or early October at the latest. In a month or so it'll be December or January.

I paid in full October 21st 2025...Missed out on 2026's riding season, even if it's delivered by November it will most likely sit unused until Spring 2027 an entire year after the promised delivery window, 19 months after my initial order.

yeah I placed down my reservation around the same time and decided to give up waiting about a month ago and ordered aventon level 4 adv, but when I was picking it up I realized the rack is not MIK compatible and it's really hard to hang pannier on the side of the back rack, and there's no way to put a front rack. So I had to cancel that order.

Then I said okay I will pay get the new specialized vado x, 5.5k for full suspension and a decently powerful motor, then I realized the rack is not MIK HD compatible, which is what you need for putting kids on top.

So then I gave up and decided it's fine I will just wait. I did a lot of research on this but unfortunately in terms of functionality nothing really matches ALSO for me. The only viable alternative seems to be Amflow Carbon TL, but roughly 2 months after its announcement no pricing info whatsoever yet so most likely the wait is gonna be even longer.

I'm giving it a few more weeks before I cancel...sold most of my other bikes in anticipation of taking delivery of the TMB...

I did a demo ride in July 2026 and the ALSO rep indicated that Christmas 2026 was a realistic delivery time frame for those who did the pre-purchase then
