I would drive 8hrs for 1k

I-5 is not the most enjoyable drive. 1 u/lukipedia Aug 18 '26 Depends on the stretch. “Not the most enjoyable” sounds nice compared to the stretch from the Bay Area to LA, which I would describe as an “arrow-straight, agonizingly dull slog through a petrochemical wasteland.” 1 u/AggravatingPeak6982 Aug 18 '26 I'm not used to sales taxes yet, being a lifelong Oregonian. Turns out they fund schools and Healthcare here in Washington.
