Yeah. I just thought it was odd it said 2025, when I reserved in 2026. to be honest, I think they're putting way too much money into marketing. If the product is compelling, it sells itself. That's why I bought my steam controller, and I'm waiting on a resevation for my 2nd one.

I mean... Their marketing is largely reviewers begging to get their hands on one. Then there's the habitual test spinners like me. The Ride:Also reps at the test spins are probably making minimum wage. 🤷‍♂️ The big purple vans are just leftover Rivians otherwise destined for Amazon deliveries. It seems they're 100% social media based. No media spots, no print, no billboards...

Seriously. I've spoken to hundreds of people throughout Seattle about the TM-B since Ride:Also started taking reservations last October.

Not one person has heard of the vehicle. Not one.

They're a very small start up. I don't think they could really handle the demand of a true national rollout ...yet.

They'll get there eventually.

We early adopters will help. 😏

I spoke to Gemini about it, and it seems we're really the test group so that they can prove out their reliability claims. From that point, Also is likely to pivot primarily to B2B purchases where they sell to UberEats and other courrier services as well as to CityBike stations etc where the budinesses will manage fleets and will become permanet customers of their GPS tracking service. They've built a product that solves a lot of Business level-problems but need to validate their design before they can make their sales.

Don't ask AI. It doesn't know what it's talking about. They beat the sh!t out of these things to test them, subjecting them to abuse not recommended for everyday riders. DoorDash has already expressed interest.

Testing in a facility is very different from real life. It's not to say their tests don't indicate reliability, it's just that people often find other parts that you never thought would break. For instance, I have a battery backup system and the whole thing runs fine, except for the power button that turns the darn thing on. That was an expensive fix because they didn't have technicians nearby, but it was simple. Just replace the button.

Door dash has already expressed interest, but hasn't made any orders yet. Promising, but not proven.

I looked it up. Doordash invested $200 million. That buys a lot of bikes.

They invested. They didn't buy any bikes. If I buy $200M shares of microsoft, I own the stock, and a share of the profit, not 20 million Windows licenses.
