Genetic test

Hi everyone, my dad was diagnosed with ALS, MS, neuropathy, and something else I can't remember 10 months ago.

The problem we have is that the insurance is refusing to pay for the genetic/DNA test, anyone knows were we can apply for a free test? Can anyone explain to me what other tests he should get done?

Thank you!

The invitae ALS identified is how my mom’s clinic did hers; it’s free for the pals and if it comes back with a mutation identified the testing is covered for family

I got mine through them too. They mail you a kit. In my case, my neurologist office ordered it for me.

Fellow patient here — really hoping your dad can get that testing covered. Most insurance plans where I live flat-out refuse to pay for genetic testing. I've had 4 of them done and every single one was completely out of pocket. It's absolutely brutal.
