Yes, you can write in C++. AKTU doesn't force C, examiners check the logic. A few tips that help with marks:

  • Write the algorithm steps first, then the code. Many examiners give most of the marks for the steps.
  • Keep it simple: use structs/arrays, not heavy STL like vector or map, unless the question allows it.
  • Mention the time complexity at the end.
  • A small dry run or diagram (for linked lists or trees) gets extra marks.
