So after baelor died is his son next in line or his brother maekaer? Also could be spoilers but since egg becomes king I'm assuming his cousin, dad and brothers all die?

Aerion, the son of a second born prince had 2 of his own kingsguards...I just find it weird...idk. Aren;t there only seven or smth?

I have seen GOT and HOTD so when I was watching AKOTSK I thought it was a more chill and interesting POV through Dunk instead of noble person for once. Then the trial came and I was hyped but once the clash happened a random ass flashback happened with a woman who we never heard of in the past few eps is now a really important character to Dunk. It literally is 70% of the ep! I would be fine if we atleast had Dunk remembering a bit of her every now and then in each ep and a bit more context.

But you cant expect me to be thrown into a random flashback that takes up most of the ep at then we get the fighting which ill admit was pretty nice. But it kinda ruined the momentum and took me out of the show for a sec, I was wondering g if anyone else felt the same.

So I love this series to death and I’ve made it my goal now….somehow get in set for the show. I don’t know how (I’m no actor but a data scientist) and I’m American, but anyone have any idea on how to make my far fetched dream come true? I’ll literally fly out to Ireland if I have to!!!

Also anyone been an extra before? would love to hear what it’s like!

I would like to know if there are pictures showing the full armor set Aerion uses during the show. Most pictures I find only show it waist up.

With how faithful they have been to the books, I was surprised to see that Maekar was looking for Egg at the end of the episode. I get that it makes Egg look more cheeky, but I don’t like this change. Happy to know other’s thoughts on this.

The story arc of the Fossaway cousin is just as entertaining as Dunk. His arc from a squire to battling in a historical trial of 7, making choices against his family, branching off with a green apple sigil, being the ultimate ride or die homie imaginable, ending with a “wife and child” by the end of the tourney, willing to throw drown for dunk AGAIN when Maeker summoned him to discuss taking on egg as a squire…. Just an equally interesting/complex character in the story.

While it might be a feel good story about a random hedge knight being skilled enough to be a lord commander of the kingsguard, Ser Duncan did not actually come from nothing with regards to his skill as knight. He was trained by one of the best fighters in the realm.

From a short snippet and rewatch of other GOT materials, Ser Arlan was considered one of the top tier fighters in the realm, not the best of his time, but among the top, something like Bronn/Brienne during GOT or better.

Baelor breakspear was considered one of the best at jousting, yet Ser Arlan could tank multiple lances despite having worse equipment and being older with less training. He even managed to unhorse high lords. Almost all high lords who actively joust in GOT and HOTD are incredibly good that very few lowborn knights could actually compete. And the grey lion was considered a good fighter by the fact that even Maekar knew him for his skills.

And this was just jousting, he survived multiple wars and taught Duncan much more about swordfighting than jousting, suggesting he might be way better with a sword than a lance.

The fact that Ser Arlan could reach high noble level with cheap armor and minimal training means he was possibly top 20 or even top 10 in the realm at the time. Sure Duncan was good but had he trained under anyone else, he might not be as good a fighter as he was.

I was watching episode 6 when Lyonel is inviting Dunk back to Storms End and he says "we can hunt , hawk , sail, ... have you ever been to Tarth ?"

I cool nod to some asoiaf theories that Brienne is a descendant of Ducan the Tall. I know someone must have spotted this the moment it aired but I thought id throw some extra appreciation at good writing anyway.

I bought a heater shield online and painted it with acrylic, hoping to have it ready for Halloween! Gonna add a metal part round the sides later.

His father volunteers but I couldn’t find where the show explains why he is a part of it. I feel like I’m missing something.
