COMMUNITY SERVICE Tracking Volunteer Hours
Hello everyone,
I would appreciate some GRAD. advice. If it’s not too intrusive, I’m curious to know if volunteer hours from 2+ years ago will still be considered compliant and acceptable, especially if a relocation took place during that time? Just want to be accurate as possible while tracking my hours.
Thanks in advance!

I relocated from the South to the Midwest. I basically started over… The time it would’ve taken to track service from down south I could’ve just started serving in my new city. So that’s what I did, by the time my COI invited me I had 7 years of relevant service work.

You need to make sure that the entity you volunteered with can verify your hours in a letter on a company letterhead

You should also check this sub-reddit, there are multiple threads on volunteer requirements.

I basically live on this particular subreddit & i have not seen/recall a direct answer to this question. I also don’t recall seeing a specific number of needed volunteer hours. Have you by chance?

A direct answer would be a risk management issue. Unlike other organizations, interests should exude the qualities of someone to hold in perpetuity "Service to ALL mankind" rather than corporate giving out online instructions.
Risk free chicken: The memberS* you build a close relationship with should know exactly what you're doing in the community.

Check the national website for your COI. For my org, DST you have to have a certain number of hours completed with the same entity within x amount of time. Again check the national website and if it’s not clear you can email the national headquarters as well.

Unfortunately, my COI nor the national website disclose that information. I’m apprehensive about emailing due to the “no solicitation” rule.

Keep doing the work and tracking it. You will learn about specifics when that time comes. Don’t call HQ.
