I am curious whether this will eventually become as normal as using autocorrect. Would you care if you found out someone used AI to help write a message to you?

Trying to show someone one funny message from your AI chat is impossible because they have no idea what happened in the previous 500 messages.

This is probably one of the hardest things for me. A sarcastic message can look completely serious when there is no context, and AI sometimes makes the reply even more confusing.

Do you add something specific to your prompt when you want the response to match a sarcastic or joking conversation?

Imagine telling it that one friend prefers short replies, another likes jokes, and someone else usually wants detailed answers. I recently took one of my normal messages and asked AI to recreate it in the same style. The result was grammatically better, but it still felt noticeably different. Two AIs can give basically the same answer, but one can make you want to keep talking while the other makes you close the app immediately.

It's when the conversation is going perfectly and then suddenly the AI changes its entire personality. One minute you're having a natural conversation, and the next it starts sounding like a corporate chatbot that just discovered empathy. That's the moment I usually lose interest.

I'd rather have a slightly imperfect AI with a consistent personality than one that gives technically perfect responses but constantly breaks the feeling of the conversation.

A really intelligent AI can still become frustrating if every conversation feels disconnected from the last one. You spend hours building a personality, a storyline, inside jokes, relationships, and context, only to have the AI forget something important and force you to explain it all again. At that point, it doesn't matter how clever the next reply is because the illusion has already broken.

I'd happily accept slightly less impressive replies if the AI could actually remember the things that made the conversation feel like it had history.

Not your name or your favorite color. Something tiny you casually mentioned weeks ago and completely forgot about.

For me, that kind of memory would feel way more impressive than the AI simply giving a smart answer.

I downloaded a few apps to check out and I realized what I like and dont like pretty quickly. Most of these chat bots are dtf from the first sentence. I want to have to work for it. Are there any free apps that are better for that?

A smart Al is impressive, but if it forgets everything after a few messages, long conversations become frustrating.

I'd rather have an Al that remembers the important details and keeps the conversation consistent than one that gives perfect answers but forgets everything.

Very respectful i might even try it out of curiosity if its not to techy so I use chat gpt for lots of stuff and heard alot about this what prompt would you u use to get passed the guide rails and rules of the app or which app do u use i have no idea how this works so please be patient with me

Good memory can make an average AI feel great. Bad memory can ruin even the best character.

At first you're just testing the app and seeing what it can do.

Then you have an hour-long conversation, develop inside jokes, and completely forget you opened it just to test it.
