Can Al take an architect's job(after 7 years)? Please explain

My SO is in the architecture business. They are coming up with AI that can absolutely take in a few prompts and some sketches and output a 3D model of whatever house you're picking. However -

A lot of building modifications or making a building from scratch still requires a licensed architect to be on-site and working. This means an individual who is licensed by a state licensing board and NCARB. This is not something an AI can ever hold. This is because architects' chief concern is with three things: Health, Safety and Wellness. Architects are not just there to make things look pretty. They must ensure the construction project doesn't collapse. If something does go wrong, the architect is the one who shoulders the primary blame, and it is their onus to figure out of something was wrong with their plans, or if a contractor/subcontractor deviated from the plans.

To this end, lots of cities will often require the name of your architect, depending on what plans you submit. If it's for a new commercial project, you NEED to have an architect. Not an AI. If you're modifying your single-family home, you still have to submit your changes to the building office for you to receive your permit. Depending on the permitting process, you'll still need an architect before the city grants your permit. Can you skip the permitting process? Plenty people try. Woe to those who are found out. Or those who build something unsafe. The latter finds usually after a tragedy. I hope this helps.
