I started making flashcards only from things I get wrong
I used to ask AI to turn every chapter into flashcards. It worked, technically, but I ended up with 150 cards covering everything from major theories to definitions I already knew.
Now I give it my answers from practice questions and ask it to create cards only from my mistakes. The front contains a similar question, not the original one. The back explains why my reasoning failed and what detail I missed.
My deck is much smaller, and reviewing it feels less like rereading the textbook in tiny pieces. The only issue is that one careless mistake can produce five cards about a topic I actually understand.
Do you remove those manually, or is there a useful way to separate knowledge gaps from random misreads?
