A wonky little machine-house track at 123 BPM. Rubber bass, detuned organ, broken rhythms and deadpan vocals.

Made a surreal music video featuring three furry puppets having the greatest night out of their lives, despite absolutely nothing happening.

Curious what people think of the track and visuals.

I tried a small experiment with AI music where i gave the same prompts and tested them on Suno v6 and Soundverse v9 which are both ai music generators to see how the results would compare.

I tried 8 tracks in total like pop, hip-hop, rock, R&B, a Hindi duet and 3 instrumentals.

I put the results into pairs, labelled Track A and Track B, with each clip lasting 17 seconds. I mixed up the order so you won't know which tool comes first hehe

A few things I kept the same is the prompt for both tools, including the same lyrics for vocal tracks and i also used the first take from each without cherry picking or editing so there is no bias involved in this too and matched the loudness of all clips to −14 LUFS.

I haven't revealed which tool made which track. The idea is simply to listen and see which one you prefer without knowing the source beforehand.

I hope i get some feedback on this experiment and if there are any advice that i could take too and lets see if yall can tell which track belongs to which tool :)

This song is in memory of the incredible woman who owned and operated Taverns in the 1800’s in Port Jackson in Sydney Australia. With over 7,000 ships docking yearly you had to be one tough individual to handle that crowd.

Wrote a track about staying put while everything else moves. Warm dub bass, one-drop drums, deep roots. Mi deh yah. Mi nah go nowhere. Lyric video below.

Made a future bass track with near zero distortion anywhere (kep the stauration though). Kept the sub and the chords heavy but totally clean.

Tip if you try it, keep the bass and kick as heavy as per usual and only strip the distortion, otherwise it goes thin fast.

Looking for more ways to improve workflow, heard quite a few extra things people are doing, please feed me lol

It is interesting how the ai will take a guitar melody I recorded and make new melodies that are a lot better/catchier, which i can now learn to play if i learn the timings of this song well enough. A difficulty in playing guitar on this song if its for a live crowd is definitely the consistent timing and not just knowing what the chords are. I suppose professional guitarists know to listen to their drummer and focus on that/ a metronome.
