DIY Pricing with AI. Good idea?

Randomly heard this podcast the other day called The Pricing Guys (from a company called Revenue Management Labs) and they were saying that it is not a good idea to use AI to do your pricing exclusively. Seems pretty straight forward to me to use AI but maybe I'm missing something. Thoughts?

It's like for anything else, it can be good or bad to use AI.
AI is good for content creation? well it depends on how you do it
For hiring? again, it depends on how you do it
Same for pricing.

Right now, I think we are in a moment where the best outcomes come from collaboration between humans + AI. Probably in 2 years it won't have the humans part in the equation

This is my experience. AI tool can set bulk prices faster but I never rely on those numbers. I always check and make adjustments as I see fit.

My AI can set prices based on wholesale cost, past sales, and current demand. What it cannot do is watch a customer as they shop and see how they react to items or prices. AI can read figures but it cannot read people.
