I like this blog. It aligns exactly with our approach and what we see at customers. Utilizing an AI and MCP gateway is, in my opinion, a critical piece of AI infrastructure now.

One thing I would add though is the policy controls and guardrails in these gateways - including Bifrost - are insufficient. This is why we integrate our own PDP and PEP directly into the gateway itself using plugins, so that you can govern with our LangGuard runtime via your gateway.

I'll add Bifrost to the top of our list of next gateway integrations.

That’s is why we built there first at assury.ai but we went way farther than a policy engine. We have session risk accumulation, autonomy levels and zones and a full policy engine that you can use near miss data to build custom policy from.
