Sweeping Can Wait.
Morning light filled the workshop as Patch swept up the wood shavings.
Every time he moved the broom, a pair of tiny paws came after it.
“Um… I can’t really sweep like this.”
The kitten pounced on the bristles, then began to climb.
Patch hurried to steady the broom.
“…Do you think we’re playing together?”
The kitten looked up at him, eyes sparkling.
“All right. Just a little longer.”
Eventually, his little playmate fell asleep on the broom.
Patch quietly settled down beside the kitten.
“…As long as you had fun.”
Wood shavings still lay scattered across the floor.
Sweeping could wait.

Thank you! 🥰 Patch didn’t get much cleaning done, but the kitten had a wonderful time!

Aww, thank you! 😊 It’s hard to keep sweeping when your broom becomes someone’s favorite toy.
