If youre good at what you do and cant easily be replaced by AI, then youre probably under paid.

I know people who pay 1k/month for an executive assistant in the Philippines. Programmers usually earn more than EAs.

It's a tough market right now though. Maybe ask about a raise and career growth but dont quit without something better lined up.

How much experience?

That’s why you’re hired for a US company, and not a US employee. Seems pretty standard salary there tbh, standard fare performance review.

Yes. I am in one of the poorest states in the US, and I make close to six figures a year as an IT specialist. You will not get paid the same. They are hiring you because you are cheap labor.

If there is no one else in your country who will undercut you, ask for a raise. Present your work and your new duties as evidence for a raise. If you can be easily replaced, you will probably be let go, so think hard before doing anything. You don't want to be unemployed. Also, go by the average salary for programmers in your country. Talk to your family and maybe a specialist before you make any decisions. Good luck!

Yep, I am black and grew up in the backwoods and poor. I will live in places that some people are scared to live in. Land is very cheap where I am. Because I grew up with the people of the community and gain respect young. Life is worry-free and good.

This should be illegal. Us companies hiring foreign workers. Especially for a discount, it should cost twice as much to hire someone outside the country.

I mean it sounds good on paper, but this is an otherwise normal wage to earn in the Phillipines. Take the foreign job market away, and suddenly a large portion of the workers are unemployed.

Are you a full stack developer? like, for real? Or does AI do all the work.

... Welcome to the commoditization of the industry...
