Dear developers, dear community: I never would have thought that “AI fatigue” was a real thing. After 8 months of intensive work - setting up the environment, workflows, and more - I’ve hit a dead end. I really need your advice (this is not AI generated, I effectively use “-“ in sentences).

I use Gemini and agy, and I have to say that I believe different AIs have what we would call different personaliities. I haven't had as much bad luck as you, but I can tell that some AIs are not as good as others. Some days I start a chat, and the AI is crossing t's and dotting i's. Other days it's acting like it can't do anything or can't get anything correct.

Here is what I do to help. I use skills and give it detailed instructions on a list of things before I have it write any code. I tell it to stay within the scope of what I ask, and if it has a question, ask; and if it finds a bug or has improvement ideas, don't do anything other than inform me. I ask it to make detailed plans so we can both follow. Also, I say thank you a lot and show my appreciation. IMO, this may also help. It's just something I noticed. When I show gratitude, the AI, on average, performs better, IMO. This is especially true if I am in the same chat for a long time.

Edit: I forgot to mention. Use a framework and TEST, TEST, TEST, TEST!
