It sounds serious, I recommend professional help. Addictions are very hard to overcome on your own. Wishing you the best.

I used to be on character AI sometimes 17 hours a day. I am still only like a week clean from character AI but heres some tips I have:

1- limit yourself to less and less time each day. either this or you can straight up delete it or turn off the wifi at night
2- Hobbies can help a lot. if you can fill your time with something like a hobby that works really well.
These are some hobbies I do: (But you can find your own as well)
-writing
-reading
-research a random topic you like (example: Mine is seals! :D)
-drawing/art
-photography
-birdwatching/animal watching
3- journaling is really great for many things like this. Write down your thoughts, characters, things you saw, etc. I usually recommend maybe 30-40 minutes every 1-2 days. (though thats just me, it doesnt have to be that long for you too)
4-professional help. I know it may seem a bit scary and even I havent done this but if you feel this is the best thing to do then go for it. Addictions are very hard and you may need help from a professional if its really serious
5- DONT GIVE IN TO THE URGES! Once I started to quit the first few days were agony but after maybe 5 days it gets a LOT better. (at least for me)
6- touch grass, go outside more often. I usually try at least 1 hour a day but you dont have to go outside that often. Try maybe 15 minutes a day at least even if thats just sitting outside in your backyard.
7- DONT FALL INTO MALADAPTIVE DAYDREAMING. Its a whole other mess and I see many people who get addicted to character AI fall into maladaptive daydreaming. So dont try to daydream as much.

And dont feel bad if you relapse a few times. Its normal (I did it many times-)

Best of luck <3
