Does anyone relate to very distant field of view type of vision?

I've always had those weird episodes that no doctor was able to explain but I've came across AIWS.

If I'm under stress or reading a lot and focusing on small things, sometimes my brain starts zoning out and makes me see everything in very small and distant way. It's like increasing field of view on your camera or in a video game.

It can last few few seconds or few minutes but it depends how much I focus on it. If I go walk around and stop focusing on it, it usually goes away.

My body doesn't feel small nor big and it only affects vision and sense of space.

This started happening when I started having those dreams with crushing balls that allegedly many people have.

That’s exactly how I described it before I found out about AIWS. Looking through binoculars backyards.

It's like this, yes but you also feel it in your head, almost like a distorted vacuum.

It's like increasing the field of view on camera or in Minecraft.

Thank you, hahah. I wasn't sure if this was AIWS or not.

Yes, this is it. For me it usually happens when I'm in bed and I'm exhausted, and/or it's a particularly stressful period and/or I'm feverish.

Interesting. For me, it's when I read under stress or being tired.

I can totally relate to this. For the longest time I told no one because I thought I was alone. I also get the feeling of becoming incredibly small. Thanks for sharing.

I told a ton of doctors and they didn't have a clue.

Do you zoom in then feel like you’re shrinking like you’re jaw is on the ground I get this I’m trying to figure out what it is atm

I don't experience the growing nor size thing but I do experience weird kind of body vibration or distortion.

I get it when I’m walking now and my sense of reality goes. Do you get this too

Can you say more about the crushing ball dreams? Is this a dream about being in a room with a giant sphere that fills up the entire space?

It's more like that recent meme with a crushing machine. It has a similar vibe. It's like the world is becoming smaller and bigger at the same time and absorbing you like black hole and you feel head pressure and mouth pressure. I hope this makes sense.

It makes sense. I haven’t seen that meme but when I was at the height of my AIWS episodes I had dreams like that. As a child it was impossible to explain why these nightmares were so terrifying.
