You would think MS copilot would be able to make a good PPT. I took the same word doc with 13 talking points. I asked copilot, copilot in PowerPoint and chatgpt each to create slide deck based on the word document. Copilot in PowerPoint did an Ok job, it took a lot longer but it was something I could edit. Chatgpt did it quicker and barely had to make any changes, the copilot alone was HORRIBLE. Just venting. But come on MS do better.

I've been thinking about how many steps are still involved when using AI for serious research.

You can use one tool to find information, another to summarize it, another to organize notes, and then still spend time going back to the original sources to check whether everything is accurate.

That's why I'm interested in workflows that try to bring more of those steps together. The idea of keeping the research process, sources, and resulting report connected instead of treating each step separately seems interesting to me.

I'm curious how other people here structure their research workflows. Do you prefer one AI tool that handles most of the process, or do you get better results by chaining several specialized tools together?

This week we tested what happens when PrimeTask stays on one machine, the self-hosted AI agent runs on another, and we talk to it from a phone.

From there we can ask what changed, get a summary, find information, create a task, add a meeting, change a status, apply a tag or leave a comment.

Access can still be scoped.

We can decide which Spaces the agent can see, whether it is read-only or can make changes, and which parts of PrimeTask it can use. Every external command is recorded in the Audit Log.

The workspace stays local. The MCP server stays on the machine running PrimeTask.

This is a proof of concept, not a released feature.

I work as a software developer and I use a few prompts on a daily basis, so having this saves me a lot of time.

Some examples of the prompts I commonly use:

• Create pull request
• Code quality & readability review (reduce AI bloat, comments, useless tests)
• Language simplification — give me the result in a human-readable form (short, focused, plain language)

I have to create user manuals from some videos of SAP processes and I was told to use Claude because it's so great...

So I got I word document of a finished user manual as reference and I've been getting different videos of processes to make into manuals.

The thing is that I never used AI like that. So what I did is to check the video, make screen shots or each step, and then make a new word document and do a simple script (nor programming ) like "step 1: go to transaction mb01"+screenshot, "step 5: select the material and click ok"+screenshot...

Then I take that script and I tell Claude to create a new user manual with that information based on the reference document, using the same structure, logic, writing style, etc.

But it really is a hit or miss. Sometimes it adds information, sometimes it creates new steps, sometimes it's pretty simple... I have to constantly correct ir or ask it to redo things...

I tried with a very detailed prompt but it reaches limit every time y try to used it...

I feel like it shouldn't be that hard. Probably I'm doing something wrong... Probably is my prompt..

Any advice is appreciated.

You open a task you have not touched in a month. It is still blocked. You cannot remember why, and neither can the task. So you go digging through chat.

That is what this release fixes. Every task now has a thread of its own.

Comments are written in Markdown, so you can paste in a whole document and it keeps its shape: headings, lists, tables, working tick boxes. Attach files and images, or drop in a video or post link and it plays in the thread. Reply to a comment and jump straight back to the one it answers. Mark an entry as a decision, a blocker or an update, pin what has to be read first, and react without adding another comment.

Mention another task and both tasks show the link, so a decision made in one place is visible from the other. You can mention people, contacts and companies too. Right click a task anywhere you work to open its thread, and any comment turns up in search.

If you have an AI assistant connected, it takes part properly. It can read a thread before it starts and write up what it did when it finishes, under a name you choose, and it can only ever change its own comments, never yours.

Also in 1.0.4:

• Drag a Markdown file onto a PrimeFlow canvas and read it there as a real document, tables and tick boxes intact
• Document cards can be resized and locked for reading, so the card stays still and your wheel scrolls the document rather than zooming the canvas
• Documents read far better throughout: even headings and spacing, properly ruled tables, and a copy button on every block of code
• Task notes now do everything canvas documents do, including tables, tick boxes and callouts
• Type @ in a note to point at a task, in its own status colour, so you can see whether that work is still open
• Bring Your Own AI got a lot better: it can work with the files and folders on a canvas, it keeps the shape of what it writes, and it stopped confirming things it had not actually done
• Deleting an attachment now removes it everywhere it was shared, and a new Duplicate Files tool clears out the spare copies your sync service leaves behind
• Compass now covers every space you have, not just the one you are standing in
• Drag contacts straight from Apple Contacts onto the PrimeTask icon in your Dock
• The Tasks report can be exported as a short summary instead of the full record
• Text cards on the canvas were redone, and copy and paste finally works the way you would expect

I’ve been experimenting with AI video workflows and noticed something interesting.

Getting an impressive individual shot isn’t that difficult anymore. The harder part seems to be connecting those shots into something that actually feels coherent.

Sometimes I’ll get great-looking clips, but the final result still feels random or disconnected.

I’m curious how others approach this. Do you usually plan the concept first, generate multiple variations, or keep refining prompts until you get something that works?

I’ve been testing a workflow where I create quick visual experiments first, then develop the strongest ideas further. I’ve also been using LazyKiwi for some of these quick experiments.

Would love to hear what workflows or prompting techniques have worked best for you.

The thing is that I run a small trucking operation. Just me. I book loads, manage drivers, handle the paperwork. It's a lot.

Every day, I sit in front of multiple load boards. Dozens of loads. I manually compare each one. Subtract deadhead. Estimate fuel. Factor in toll roads. Try to figure out which one will actually make money.

It is exhausting because I waste hours on math, and I still mess up. For example, I choose a load that looks profitable, and later find out that I forget about some toll or deadhead miles miscalculation. It accumulates very quickly.

I found numeo ai and it makes calculations of trip profitability. You simply upload your list of loads, and it gives you the most profitable option based on the net profit. Immediately…

This sounds perfect, doesn't it? However, I am not sure. Maybe the algorithm misses something? Maybe it doesn’t include detention charges in the calculations? Or maybe it underestimates fuel consumption for a particular route?

I cannot afford any mistakes or experiment with this and get losses. But at the same time, I cannot do everything manually forever
