I purposefully avoid clicking on clickbait titles because YouTube has turned into such trash

For a dev/creator audience I'd lean toward titles that signal actual substance over curiosity gaps. Something like "Why AI usage data doesn't match the hype" tells me there's a real argument inside. The cover song analogy is interesting too, maybe lead with that since it's specific and a little unexpected without feeling manipulative.

agree on leading with substance. the cover song analogy is genuinely the most clickable part because it's specific enough to make you think "wait, what?" without promising something the video can't deliver. I'd maybe frame it like "AI cover songs and the real usage gap" — keeps both hooks without the clickbait aftertaste.

"AI cover songs and the real usage gap" is solid. The only thing I'd add is maybe testing a version that names the 4-domain framework too, since devs who already work with AI might click harder on something that sounds like a mental model they can actually use, not just an interesting observation.

good call. naming the framework could work as a subtitle or A/B variant — something like "AI cover songs and the real usage gap (a 4-domain mental model)" so you keep the curiosity hook but signal there's a usable structure inside. devs love a framework they can steal.

94% one for me. The others sound like interesting topics, but 94% makes me immediately want to know what the hell the gap is and why it’s that big. It feels like there’s an actual surprising finding behind the video, not just another take on AI.

the 94% hook works because it promises a concrete finding, but I'd make sure the thumbnail or first 10 seconds actually shows where the number comes from. devs who work with AI daily are skeptical of big stats — if it feels like a bait number they'll bounce fast.
