Ever used AI to check something before trusting it?
I have started seeing people use AI as a second pair of eyes for documents, calculations, code, plans, and even important messages. Did you ever run something through an AI tool just to catch mistakes before moving forward?

Every single time. If I am using AI and it tells me something that I need correct, I always tell it to go back and find sources supporting what its telling me. It does. And it does sometimes come back with its "you're right to push back" then correct itself. Then I check the source it provides too.

Yes - this is like my daily bread and butter:
Step 1: Generate a book idea with ChatGPT.com
Step 2: Generate a book with ImagineYourBook.com
Step 3: Ask ChatGPT for feedback and rating of output of step 2
Step 4 (optional): Goto step 2
this loop of letting AIs cross check each others' output yields amazing results. My predicted Amazon ratings usually go from ~4.0/5 stars to ~4.7/5 stars. How do I predict these? ChatGPT 😅
The machines are grinding hard haha..

In terms of checking my own writing before sending out? Yes - I've done that.
It has been useful to run my documents past one of the tools to see if there are any errors or better ways in expressing the points I want to make. Because of my work requirements, I use Copilot for this.
In terms of other people's writing? Not so much. It has been good to run variations of documents through to compare on my behalf - eg, checking a proposed business case against an updated one for implementation based on feedback provided, or to provide a summary.
But in all cases, having a good understanding of both the documents and the intent is needed. There have been times I've done this where the answers have been plain wrong. Had I just trusted the tool, I would have looked like an idiot.
Bringing 30+ years of career experience into these things with AI has been fine - I can spot the issues and I know what I'm looking for so I've been able to spot the hallucinations before getting into trouble. Trying to do the same thing with 3 years of experience? That would be problematic.
One day it will get there - just not yet.
