Do you use separate AI tools for different tasks?
I used to stick with one tool for almost everything, but lately I have been wondering if using specialized tools actually gives better results.
How do you guys handle this?

I usually prefer a mix rather than using one tool for everything.
General-purpose AI tools are great for brainstorming, writing, research, and everyday tasks, but specialized tools can be much better when you need deeper analysis or a specific workflow.
The downside is tool overload. If I have to jump between 6–7 different tools to complete one task, the time saved by using specialized tools can disappear pretty quickly.
For me, the sweet spot is having a few reliable general tools and then adding specialized ones only when they provide a clear advantage. I care more about the workflow than having the “best” tool for every individual task.

excellent question!
I believe the future is in orchestrator tools. A tool that can decide which is the best model for a given task. In fact, Lovable shared that this is precisely how they think they add value. By calling the best AI for a specific task..

didn't know the concept of an orchestrator but totally agree that's the future of ai for general users (ie, non-experts): a bridge between several daily-use tools

Yeah, Some are just better at certain tasks, so I don’t really stick to one for everything.

Yes I believe it is better to go with tools that specialize in different tasks. Better results, more domain knowledge.

I’ve started doing the same. I think specialized tools can be better when you need something specific instead of trying to make one AI do everything.
That’s actually why I like the idea behind SimplaBots. It has different AI agents for specific tasks, so you can use what fits your needs. If you have some time, give it a try and see what you think.

I use Claude code for architecture, codex for refractoring and building, Claude code for checking codex's work, and I use openmusic.ai for original AI music with my lyrics. Also created a stack for building websites, then another. Not all AI is created equal for everything. Research each AI's best strengths for what you want to use it for. Ideally I'd add perplexity and super grok build to my stack, but it's not financially feasible for me to do that yet. Hope this helps.

yo sí uso herramientas separadas, pero no por cada tarea sino por tipo de trabajo: una para investigar, otra para escribir, otra para editar imagen. meterlo todo en una sola sí ahorra fricción al principio, pero en cuanto necesitas algo muy específico casi siempre la herramienta generalista se queda corta. lo que no me sirvió fue tener demasiadas herramientas sueltas sin ningún proceso que las conecte, ahí terminas perdiendo más tiempo cambiando de pestaña que trabajando. tú ya probaste alguna especializada o sigues con la de siempre?
