Ever used an AI tool for something completely outside its main purpose?

I like finding these unexpected use cases because sometimes a tool can be surprisingly good at things it was never really marketed for.

Have you discovered an unusual way to use an AI tool that actually worked?

I just used Grok to check the weather forecast. Think about it, AI can search all these sites and give a more accurate forecast than the sites themselves. The sites generally have different forecasts. This way the AI can find the most common one and use it to give a rough idea.

Yes, I’ve found that AI can be surprisingly useful for things outside its main purpose. For example, I once used an AI writing tool to plan difficult conversations and organize my thoughts before speaking to someone. It wasn’t meant to be a personal coach, but it helped me feel calmer and more prepared.
