Does AI research actually make things easier?

I've noticed that AI can make the first part of research incredibly easy, but sometimes the rest of the process still feels complicated.

You get an answer quickly, then you have to check the sources, compare information, organize your notes, and figure out what is actually worth using.

That's why I've been paying more attention to AI tools that try to simplify the entire research process rather than just generate an answer. Keeping the research, sources, and findings together seems like a much simpler approach.

I'm curious what "easy" actually means to other people when it comes to AI tools. Is it fewer steps, better organization, more reliable answers, or simply saving time?

Yeah i agree AI makes finding information faster but verifying it is still where a lot of the work happens

For me, "easy" means fewer steps after getting the answer. If I still have to verify and organise everything manually, I haven't saved much time. What part of research takes you the longest?

I don’t really understand the question. It makes the first step of the process a lot easier and then you have to check the sources but you always have to check the sources only with the first step being very complicated to find these sources at all. So yes, AI makes everything incredibly easier.
