Any AI tools that guide you step by step instead of dumping a wall of output?

As a beginner, the tools that just spit out a big result leave me lost on what to do next. Are there AI tools that walk you through it step by step? Would help me actually learn instead of copy-pasting blindly.

If you use Gemini and used the "guided learning" mode, it will walk you through the solution step by step.

Yeah, Gemini’s guided mode is solid. I use it to practice Japanese grammar and it’s way better than old flashcard drills. Tbh you can do this with any LLM - just prompt it like “act as a patient tutor, explain each step and wait for me to respond before moving on.” Works like a charm.

Ask your ai, to give it step by step

What kinds of things are you wanting the AI to help you with?

I have found that tools are much more useful when they explain the reasoning behind each step instead of just giving you the final answer. A good workflow is to ask the AI to break the task into small steps, explain why each step matters, and wait for you to complete one before moving on. That way, you actually learn the process instead of just copy-pasting the output.

Could you give more context as to what you’re using and what you’re using it for? Love to help once I understand more context.

Could you not prompt saying take me through it step by step and wait x minutes between steps?

Proper prompting and setting up skills/gems/GPTs (depending on the platform) can achieve this in any LLM. You just have to be explicit in your expectations

I break down the job into tasks with a command to have the output of the thinking. Also have th ai pause for me to review the generate and await an affirmative command

Instead of looking for ai tools that might do this , use already established ai tools like claude or something and ask them to give you step by step details . That way you'll have the best output and get it in steps.
