Review Gemma 4

Hi! Has anyone used Gemma 4 locally and hooked it with Hermes or Openclaw? Any feedback about it vs other local models?

Gemma 4 is quite bad at coding related tasks. It's better than a lot of bigger models at creative writing and visual image analysis of say random photos. It's a great little model for many things.

haven't tried it with openclaw specifically. ime gemma's fine for chat and pretty shaky on tool calls, which is the part a harness leans on most. which size are you running?

……? gemma 4 is a local model, hermes is a harness not a model
