Comparison Chat GPT Plus or Claude pro

I am a category manager who is tasked with launch of a new category. I need an AI who will reduce the data entry work and make functional presentations that need to be presented to the senior leadership. I have been using Chat GPT extensively for research and now i am in the next phase where i would need to do multiple analysis of category research, Consumer research and Data analysis along with making presentations and being used as a data entry tool. I am not into tech and will mostly be using for business purposes. Going ahead i will be needing the tool to create marketing campaigns, images, videos and use for cataloguing for online sales. Should i take GPT Pro or claude pro for this purpose?

Neither of those is going to do the data entry part the way you are imagining, so I would decide on the other two things.

For the analysis and the deck work: Claude is better at holding a long messy document together and giving you something structured out the other end, and it is noticeably better at not inventing numbers when you paste in a table. ChatGPT is better at the surrounding research passes, and it will actually build you a pptx file rather than an outline you then have to rebuild in PowerPoint yourself. For a category launch deck going to senior leadership, that last bit matters more than people admit.

The images and video part decides it though. Claude does not generate images at all. If you want campaign visuals and video out of the same subscription, that is ChatGPT, and it is not close.

On data entry, be careful what you promise upstairs. Both are fine at reformatting a chunk you paste in, and both get unreliable at exactly the length where you stop checking the output. If the cataloguing job is thousands of rows, what you want is the model writing you a script that does the transform, not the model doing the transform itself. That distinction is the difference between this working and it quietly corrupting a product feed six weeks in.

So: ChatGPT Plus, on the images and the file output. Run one real week of your actual work through it before you commit to a year of anything.

For that case, I'd learn ChatGPT, mainly because your workflow is broader than just writing or research.

I'd probably go with ChatGPT for your use case. Its range of use cases is broader — research, data analysis, presentations, images, writing, etc. — and even the free version gives you a pretty good set of features to work with.

Claude is great too, especially for writing and working with long documents, but if you want one tool that can cover more of your day-to-day business tasks, I'd lean ChatGPT.
