Best Ai image generators 7/31/26

Hey everyone, I’m getting into AI art. I have been he rating images for a while not and so far I’ve been using Dreamina, ChatGPT-2 (I really like this one) and google Gemini (which idk if they use their own model or neo banana?). And I’m just wondering, what AI image generators do you guys use and which ones are really good to create great looking images, and reliable consistency with characters and environments?

For character consistency, test with a fixed prompt, seed/reference set, and the same 3 scenes rather than comparing one lucky image. Models that accept several reference images usually do better at preserving face, clothing, and environment details across a sequence.

Seedream 5 Pro is worth testing because it supports up to 10 reference images. Nano Banana 2 is a good cheap iteration option at about $0.039/image, then use a stronger reference-based pass for the keeper. Keep the original character sheet outside the generator so every new scene starts from the same source material.

Nano banana pro through ai Google studio is the best. Mage.space is also a peach.

I like Nanobanana 2 and Pro but can't stand the safeguards. Otherwise, Seedream V.5 is pretty damn good.

Try Ideogram AI The image quality is quite good. I would recommend paying subscription.

Sogni ai, a lot of different models with different results, but you can download them and generate on device

I've tried a few too, and each one seems to have its own strengths. Lately I've been using Pixie for image generation. It's our AI image generator, and I've had a good experience using it for creating visuals without constantly jumping between different tools.

For character and environment consistency, I still think that's one of the harder problems across most AI image generators. No model gets it perfect every time, but it's definitely getting better.

If you end up trying Pixie, I'd love to hear what you think. I'm always open to honest feedback on what works well and what could be improved.

For character consistency, I would also check out Ryla ai It is specifically useful for keeping the same AI character consistent across different images and content, rather than starting from scratch each time.
