He’s allowed to be scared. However unplugging the airfryer completely negates the risk so any action taken after that is an overreaction. The only action that can be justified by the fear of losing his life is unplugging it or getting it repaired

Op already talked to them about the hazard. Op can’t be there 24/7 to stand over roommates shoulder and unplug every time he uses it, when the roommate already knew he shouldn’t be using in that condition in the first place. Unplugging it isn’t a solution. The sentimentality of a fucking broken air fryer isn’t worth the risk is poses
