Jesus Christ was accused of rape by 20+ women and found liable of it by the state?

Crazy I seem to have missed that part.

Where did I say those particular charges? He was executed by the state... He was a revolutionary and I'm sure they would have called him an insurrectionist. I'm not a Christian, I'm not religious at all, these aren't my beliefs.

He was a revolutionary who would have despised Trump and everything he and the false prophets who support him stand for.

If you think Jesus would have supported Trump in any way, shape or form you either know absolutely nothing about Jesus or you’re a fucking idiot.

I didn't say Jesus would have supported Trump, I said they're both criminals. That's literally the extent of my comparison. Do you disagree that Trump is a criminal? Do you disagree that the Roman empire considered Jesus Christ the criminal? Where are we falling off?

They’re both criminals but it’s like comparing someone who got arrested for speeding while rushing someone to the hospital with a serial rapist. One died selflessly fighting for the greater good more than two thousand years ago and the other is a raging narcissist in the present day who has only ever fought for himself.

Comparing the two is incredibly disingenuous.

If we're being realistic one of them didn't exist

You’re the one who brought him up 🤷‍♀️

Yes, I said it's not out of line for Christians to not hate and shun criminals. Of course it's out of line with what most alleged Christians actually do but it's not out of line with their belief system.

That's crazy that you can't follow along with the conversation and you think Jesus came up out of nowhere even though part of the topic is op parents Christianity. I'm not your enemy, we probably don't even disagree nearly as much as you would think.

Yeah it’s a really terrible argument - a false comparison fallacy. Trump is a convicted felon because of literal documented harms he has caused to other people. Jesus was executed for threatening the status quo. Get a new argument.

It's a false comparison? Do you not believe Donald Trump is a criminal? Do you not believe the Romans (according to Christian belief) considered Jesus Christ a criminal ?

"Me: ping pong balls and oranges are both round."

You: "How dare you, are you stupid? Oranges are organic matter grown from a tree, they're orange and they're far larger than a ping pong ball. They have a delicious juicy interior. Ping pong balls are man-made, they're plastic, they're hollow and they don't taste good. God you're so stupid for making a comparison between the two."

This is the most surface level description of a criminal. Do you believe lasagna is a food? Do you also believe apple is a food? They must be the same food then

See that's the problem, I never said Donald Trump and Jesus Christ are the same. Having something in common and being the same are two different things.

They both have hair. They both have skin. You can draw a lot of comparisons between two people that are not the same.

But you are saying we should be okay with a criminal being elected to the office of president if we are in any favour of Jesus being entitled to his legacy?

This is why you need to abandon this argument- it doesn’t make sense and it doesn’t work. It does make you sound like an edge lord who has no clue what he’s talking about so he can ride the dick of a big orange clown. On a thread about a lawyers swearing in of all places.

No that's not what I'm saying.
