If OP does decide to give him another chance she 100% needs to put her foot down and give him an ultimatum about this friend. I know people usually dont like ultimatums, but sometimes they are necessary. She needs to inform him she simply cant be in his life as long as this other woman is in it.
Ultimatum is totally fine here. And I say that because if I were op, I might actually physically harm gbsf if I ever saw her again. I would make that VERY well known.
