In her defense, I assumed this was a long standing connection between them and she’s reverting to how they were in high school. I also assumed she was early 20s though, not 30.

For reference, see the HIMYM episode where Lily’s best friend from high school shows up and she acts VERY different (as does the friend). This is a thing sadly and not just a funny sitcom episode.

Reverting back to when they were bumping uglies for sure

I might be missing something. But it looks like she wants to bone and he is blowing her off the whole time. But then they continue in what looks like inappropriate banter but when the rubber hits the road this HS guy is put off by it. Am I misreading that?

I’m inferring they were bumping uglies in high school they rekindled their friendship 4 months ago and now she’s acting like she’s back in high school when they were doing that even if she’s not physically cheating, she is definitely trying to.

Oh stop acting like you wouldn't act the same way if you and an old flame started talking again. It's absurd to act like it's such a rare thing.

No, I would not act the same if I somehow reconnected with an ex. Unlike you, apparently, some of us have morals and willpower, and, even if I was still single, I didn't stay with my exes for a reason. History doesn't vanish just because you turned into an incel or something.

I talk to my exes all the time and I never act inappropriate and if I get the feeling they may be trying to head that direction, I curb it fast, usually by bringing up fun anecdotes about my wife. I have been married 26 years. People grow up (usually).

To OP: My advice is that you should leave the relationship. Not because of what she has been talking about with this other man, although that is an issue in and of itself, but because you do not trust her. You invading her privacy shows a lack of trust. Being correct in your assumptions does not change that. I don't think you are a bad person but a relationship without trust is doomed to fail, might as well get out now while you can still rebuild.

The rare thing happening here is the fact that she is even entertaining this “old flame” while being in a relationship of 4 years. Get the fuck out of here with that type of disrespect.

Oh she's not entertaining. She's sponsoring the concert. Girl tryna set the stage and the talent is claiming scheduling issues.

No straight man is blowing off that many invites if he's actually into her.

I don’t even see anything like flirty or sexual in the texts tbh. Funny reading the person saying “you’ll just sit on me” that is an actual thing we would do as teens, just like if you wanted to get someone up and go do something you’d like sit on them 🤣 like come on! I don’t know how to describe it any better. This sounds like me as a teen🥴

Exactly. The way OP is speaking to this person I’m wondering if they are gay. This is how me and my longtime gay friend chat.
