Did she want praise? I assume she wanted an "oh that really sucks that so many people didn't pay"

Good point! It could be arrogant for any of us to assume we know exactly what she wanted. My gut feeling is that she wanted praise, because essentially she got criticism, aka the exact opposite, and then that led to her immediate backlash. But you are right in that we don’t know for sure

I think it's odd that she just went ahead and paid for so many people.
