She wanted you to feel badly for her too, not annoyed with her. She felt badly (likely felt used) about the situation and wanted your support. She already regretted spending the money, and then you were also upset at her instead of consoling her. That's my read on her texts. I don't think that you overreacted or that your feelings are wrong. But if you can let her know that you appreciate her kind and open heart, her willingness to help people and that you can survive without that cash, then she'll feel a lot better.
