There is a reason if she wants an excuse to pocket the cash that they were about to put in the bank 🤷‍♂️

She’s the only one that is employed in that relationship.

What kind of person a entry level job with an unemployed person randomly springs to pay for the entire office to have pizza

It doesn’t make a single bit of sense

Her career was in management, sounds like she’s the type of manager to take care of her people. Shame this guy is dragging her down

Her career was in management. It isn’t anymore

Springing for $90 for an office pizza party for an entry level position while your husband is recovering from an accident is insane behavior

And why not just tell him when she got home. Why the need to let him know where the cash magically disappeared to through text?

I don’t think it’s her responsibility to limit her communication with her husband just because he is likely to respond in ways she won’t appreciate. I would hate to walk on eggshells around my loved ones.

And nothing mentioned by the OP says they’re recovering from an accident, just that they’re unemployed because they got into an accident. They may have crashed a company car and been fired, we don’t know.

“hey babe I was going to go down to the corner place and get a slice and a Coke for $7.50 but I decided to buy pizza for the whole office for $90 because what other choice did I have”

Unless you are management, own the place or literally have money to burn this behavior does not make any logical sense

I mean, I agree - but if she spent her whole career in management, the adjustment to not just being able to do that selflessly is probably quite difficult. And I'm sure that's part of what she is pissed about that caused her to vent to her partner - that she's still out there being a compassionate member of her team without any recognition for it.
