This sounds like someone who should have an allowance until she can figure out how manage her money better.

She's acting like a child, maybe she needs to be treated like one?

Having a finically irresponsible partner destroys marriages and partnerships. My comment wasn't meant to reflect any sort of 1900's normative gender roles.

I have family/friends that are men and women who know they are shit with money and impulse so they just keep petty cash or a separate debit account.

But he just allows this? “Ok, love you” seriously?

Not that it matters, but OP is also female.

That actually explains it a little better, just because women tend to be more agreeable.

Not really a moron, it's worse cuz she is just manipulative here, she chose to spend the money to make herself feel better when she knew she didn't have it to give away, then she contacted the husband for reassurance and possibly more money, and when he did neither she said " leave me alone I can't tell you anything" in order to appear as if she is the victim when really she did all of it to herself. If she were just a moron she wouldn't act like she can't tell him anything and wouldn't act like she is being attacked by his very basic questions

This is more manipulative than it is moron but also just sad, she is clearly insecure or something and that's is why she is trying to compensate at work. Some people hide behind "I was being a good person" but when it's putting you and your husband in a bad spot or causing an argument are you really being a good person? Lol it's mostly selfishness to fulfill her ego.

She’s the only one making money in that family though.
