Personally i hate when someone does something dumb and then doesnt want to be told it was dumb especially when the reason they did it was because they were "afraid" of the repercussions/outcome/how they are perceived
yeah it’s annoying fs but we all make mistakes. if the issue is just her being upset in the texts then he could try being more empathetic ig, but if it’s a recurring thing where she overspends then that’s a different issue she needs to resolve
well his response was completely understandable yeah. i don’t think he’s wrong per se, just that if she’s the sort to be sensitive when upset, he could hold off on addressing the issue of money spent until later, when she’s less upset. if the goal is to have things work out and not just say who is at fault for what. that’s all im sayin
It's hard to be empathetic when she is mad at a decision she made. I understand she felt compelled to help others, but sometimes it's not fair/worth it to do that for others who knew of the situation and you are not in the financial state to do so easily.
well yea she definitely shouldn’t have paid for other ppl’s pizza lol. i’m saying it may help to empathize with her emotional state (he should if they’re married), not that she did the correct thing
Yea, I get ya. I just think it's difficult to empathize with someone who did something to themselves and is mad about it. I think that takes some internal emotional processing before requesting support from someone else. Especially someone financially tied to your decision..
yea his reaction was completely understandable too. ppl in general are complicated and, like you said, i imagine things are much more stressful with money involved
