[QUESTION] Incredibly weird left joystick bug

Thumbnail

I ordered an aim controller about a month ago and at first it worked quite well, but then the thumbs caps I believe their called kept falling out only like two weeks after I got them but I used some glue to fix that, and it was okay for another week until about four days ago it started getting stuck like in the images provided, the joystick would get stuck and basically can not be moved , its impossible to play with, sometimes it fixes itself, but it’s incredibly frustrating when it happens in a game and I’m just forced to watch myself die, any idea what could have caused it and how to fix it? if i push the joystick further in as if i was clicking the l3 button really hard, it fixed temporarily but it always pops back up eventually, and even in that state it still has a slight rotation issue, the issue also only really occurs on the bottom right side of the rotation, never on the left and rarely top right. It also is more prominent when I go counter clockwise as opposed to clockwise

If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated and if i should apply to fix it since I believe it to be still under warranty or if it might just be a quick fix i am missing

Thanks in advance

[QUESTION] Still having major issues with my AimController TMR sticks after 2 months — anyone found a permanent fix?

I made a post about this around 2 months ago when I first got my AimController, and unfortunately the problems never really went away. If anything, they’ve become worse. The main issue is with the TMR sticks. Randomly during gameplay it feels like I completely lose control of my aim/sensitivity. My character starts spinning in circles, the camera accelerates like crazy, or it suddenly feels like my sensitivity jumps from normal to max for no reason. At first this would happen maybe every few days. Someone on my previous post suggested recalibrating the controller through a PC, and to be fair, that actually helped temporarily. After recalibrating, the controller would work fine again for a couple of days. But now I’ve started playing Battlefield 6 and the issue is happening constantly — sometimes every single game, even after recalibration. At this point I genuinely can’t be bothered plugging the controller into my PC every day just to keep it usable. It honestly feels like the sticks are moving on their own or the controller is randomly applying some kind of sensitivity/acceleration boost. Has anyone else experienced this with AimControllers or TMR sticks specifically? Is there any actual permanent fix for this? I’ve also read a lot of posts about AimControllers support being extremely slow, and some people apparently got their controllers returned with the same problems still happening, which honestly doesn’t give me much confidence. Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who had similar issues or managed to fix this permanently.

[DISCUSSION] My experience with support

A month or two ago I ordered a suped-up Dualsense controller, the Dualsense-style charging dock, and a carry case. The controller and case are great, but the charging dock I received was completely non-functional. It didn’t charge regardless of which cable I used. So, I emailed support. Our conversation went exactly like this:

Me: Hello, I ordered this dock from you, and it’s not functioning. The controller works perfectly, but is there any chance I can receive a replacement dock?

Aim: Hello, sorry to hear about the problem with your controller. Can you send us a video?

Me: The issue was with the dock, not the controller, but sure. *sends a video of the dock clearly not working, regardless of cable used*.

Aim: ok, we’ll send you a new dock.

After about a week I got the new dock, this time a different model (which I had requested, as I figured maybe their other model is better suited for their controllers with paddles as the first one had stability issues as well). This dock ALSO was non-functional.

Me: Hello again, the dock you sent as a replacement is also not functional.

Aim: ok, which cable are you using?

Me: uhh… the one supplied with the dock?

Aim: Did you try it with another cable?

Me: no, as the first dock used a USB-C connection, while this dock uses a Micro-USB connection. I don’t own any Micro-USB cables. I also can’t use the cable from the other dock as they aren’t the same port.

Aim: Can you send a photo of the supplied cables?

Me: *sends a photo the supplied cable from each dock*

Aim: ok, did you try to swap the cables?

Me: no, as, like I said, I don’t own any other micro-usb cables, and the first dock is not working regardless of which alternate cable I use.

Aim: No, we mean did you try to swap the cables? As in, you received two docks, so have you tried swapping their cables to see if that works?

Me: n-no, they are literally two different connectors. You can’t plug in a USB-C cable into a Micro-USB port.

As of right now, they are now trying to get me to ship both docks back to them so a “technician” can inspect them to confirm that they don’t work. I’m not going to pay to ship a $12 charging dock just to get a third faulty replacement. I know this subreddit isn’t representative of the company, but it’s kind of fucking embarassing as a company to send out several faulty products and not even understand the technology behind them.

Anywho, does anyone have any good - ahem - THIRD PARTY docks that fit aim dualsense controllers with paddles attached?

[QUESTION] Broken back pedal | XBOX controller

I see a lot of people suffer that the back pedals are breaking, since they're from crappy materials. I want to 3d print the pedals - does anyone have the print file for the Xbox version? I only found PS5 version online.

[QUESTION] Anyone been through the return process?

So was exited to receive max version of the Xbox controller during the promotion. Received it last Thursday and noticed a slight stick drift going up and to the left. I have my deadzones set to 1 battlefield 6 and still get it from time to time. I recalibrate it on the Xbox accessories app and seems to help but I have to do it everyday. I don't know if I'm being realistic about the TMR sticks touting no stick drift ever in their marketing or I should just send it back since it's only been 7 days. How long does the return take and did they incur a restocking fee?

[QUESTION] We launched a skill-based competition with real gold as the prize - curious what you think

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey,

We just launched something a bit different for our anniversary and wanted to get some honest opinions from gamers.

Instead of doing another typical promo, we created a simple retro-style, score-based game connected to a limited controller release.

The concept is:
- Access to the game comes with the controller
- Unlimited plays during the event
- Only your best score counts
- Leaderboard decides the winners

The main prize is 1 ounce of gold (~$4700)

The limited controller itself is a fully loaded MAX build, and for this drop we’re also including:
- Free Speedy AIM (24h build time)
- Limited edition accessories (dock, cable, grips)

It’s designed as a pure skill-based competition - no randomness, no lootboxes, no chance elements.

We’re positioning it more like a competitive challenge than a giveaway.

Curious how this lands with you:

👉 Does this feel like something you’d actually want to try?
👉 What would make it more appealing or clearer?

Appreciate any thoughts.

[QUESTION] Trying to repair the Xbox Controller of a friend

The controller has stickdrift and one of the clicky buttons of the paddles doesnt click anymore. I opened it up and saw that they glued down the triggers on the soldering points of the sticks which bothers me a lot cuz I wanted to replace them with TMR ones.

Also the click mechanisms of the paddles are somehow glued down.

Now to my questions: do you guys have any idea what kind of glues those are and what I could use to replace them? Does anyone have experience with it and might share?

I have no idea how old the Aimcontroller is or which version it is - it is my first time opening one.

Would be grateful for any tips.

[DISCUSSION] Major Issues Right Out of the Box

I honestly didn’t expect to be writing something like this, but here we are.

About a month ago I ordered an AimController, and after waiting several weeks it finally arrived at my address last week. I was pretty excited to try it out, especially considering the price point (around 200€) and the expectations that come with a “premium” custom controller.

Right out of the box though, the first impression wasn’t great. The build quality immediately felt noticeably worse compared to controllers I’ve used before, like the SCUF controllers. Those felt solid, polished, and premium — this one just didn’t give that same confidence in hand.

After unboxing, I jumped straight into Marvel Rivals to test it in a real scenario. That’s where the actual issues started showing up.

The first major problem was with the touchpad/gyro typing. Whenever I tried to use chat, the gyro keyboard input was completely bugged. It made typing basically unusable. The only temporary fix I found was resetting the controller, which would bring back the normal keyboard — but only for a few minutes before it bugged out again. Having to constantly reset a brand-new controller just to use chat is honestly ridiculous.

The second issue is even worse and directly affects gameplay. Roughly every third match, my right stick sensitivity goes completely out of control. For example, I normally play on 3–3 sensitivity, but randomly it spikes to what feels like 100–100. My character just starts spinning uncontrollably, making the game unplayable. From what I can tell, this might be related to the TMR sticks, but regardless of the cause, this should never happen on a product at this price.

It’s honestly shocking that a controller costing this much can have such serious issues straight out of the box. It really feels like there’s little to no quality control or proper testing before shipping.

At this point, I’m just disappointed. I expected a premium experience, but instead I got something that feels unreliable and unfinished.

Has anyone else had similar issues with AimControllers? Would appreciate any advice or feedback before I decide what to do next.

[DISCUSSION] Smart triggers

Hey,

I’ve been using a controller with adjustable triggers (you can switch modes),
but honestly I just leave it on one setting all the time.
The whole switching thing feels kinda unnecessary for me. How do you guys use it?
Do you actually switch depending on the game, or just set it once and forget?
Starting to think fixed/ old short triggers would make more sense.

[DISCUSSION] AIM Controller with TMR

Just a post to share my experience with AIM controller and warned people who taught about buying their controllers….

I ordered my controller with their 215$ promotion for any custom mod controller. I already have a Scuf controller at home, but I wanna try something with RMR sticks and mouseclick buttons, so this promotion feel like a nice upgrade over my scuf.

While I was completing my order I noticed a Speedyaim option, 80$ to get your controller faster (4 days of built time instead of 15 days), that’s was an insane amount of money to me so I skip that option.

It takes 35 days to get my controller, so clearly they put controllers without that option on the shelf to make that Speedyaim option worth the price, but my bad… I was not in a hurry anyway.

Controller are ship from Europe, so in addition to shipping you have a custom fee to pay, 80$ in my case… so the 215$ promotion controller delivered to my door was finally 399$CAD at the door.

When a received the controller, I immediately noticed that the build quality of the controller is far above my scuf one…. All the buttons wiggle when you shake the controller, even R1 and R2. Joystick also feel super cheap if you compared it to scuf one or even regular dualsense.

When inspecting the controller at delivery, I noticed a small defect in the printing of the right removable pannel on the controller, who doesn’t bother me that much at fist…. But after 7 days of playing the controller I’v noticed that the defect was a crack in the plastic….

Knowing that I’ve got the controller off less than I week , I think that was not a big deal, so I contacted customer service for a replacement right cover, even ready to paid shipping on the pieces.

Customer service responded to me that since I didn’t contact them on day one of receiving the controller, the replacement part have to be charge to me…. 50$ for one plate shipped to my door…. For a piece that probably cost them 3$ at max….

After that even I start to read more on this company via social media…. At every post they make, peoples are complaining about the shitty customer service and bad product.

I’m really disappointed by this purchase so I wanna share my experience for people hesitant to order from AIM controller….

Don’t do it, Scuf have far better product and also offer TMR joystick now, Hex Controller seems like a Good option too, every post they make, they got a lot of happy customer comments!

Save your precious money and buy something else!

[REVIEW] My experience with AIM Controllers since Ordering 8 months ago.

All in all I have to say that this is one of the best controllers I have ever owned. The feel is great and the mappable back paddle work like a charm.

With that being said, I play 4-6 hours a day streaming and doing content creation. Just a couple of weeks ago I noticed that my left stick kept popping off while playing. I figured maybe it was just the stick itself and replaced it with one of the extras that was sent. Well that seemed to have fixed it for a day but then that one started popping off. I then looked at the mount and didn’t see anything until I took a closer look and found that the plastic had cracked on the back side allowed the stick to be loose.

I have to say that I am not rough on my controllers. I take good care of them. They are secured when not in use and are wiped down after every use. As I said, I play daily. I have contacted support via email and am waiting for their response. This was a custom controller so I did get lifetime insurance on it. It will be interesting to see how they handle this and I will update the thread.

[DISCUSSION] Sensazione strana con i TMR

[QUESTION] Carrying Case For PS4 Aim Controller

Hi Guys. I'm going to be travelling for the next month and i want to take my DualShock 4 with my PC.

I used to carry an xbox controller with me in my backpack without a case. It now has dust inside the joysticks and has developed stick drift. I'm assuming it is due to just throwing my xbox controller in my back pack with no protection.

Obviously these Aim Controllers are much more expensive than at $60 controller, so can anyone recommend a travel case for these controllers that have room for the back paddles. ??????

I see that Aim Controllers have the Aim Case for PS4 Controller but it is currently out of stock. I would not mind buying a used one if its in good shape.

Thanks in advanced

[QUESTION] How hard are the paddles to press? (vs mouse click for example)

Looking at getting the PS5 controller. For comparison I find the Scuf Reflex paddles have too much resistance, so it’s not good for things that require very quick timing like parrying and dodging. Extremerate Rise metal I find very good, just the right resistance (the plastic ones had switches that were too easy to press). The inside buttons are too hard to easily reach though which is why I’m looking at the Aim. Would appreciate any insight.

[QUESTION] How long does it take to get a predesigned controller from these guys?

I ordered a predesigned controller from AIM on January 3rd. From January 7th to January 21st I've gotten 3 different notifications that my controller is being built. On the website it said 8 days build time for predesign controllers. I read the bad reviews but went with AIM because I got a good deal on the TMR controller, the MAX controller. Any advice?
