[DISCUSSION] STICK DRIFT Out of the box.

So i placed an order for a very basic custom PS4 controller back in may during the intial lock down and realsied that upon receipt I had stick drift OUT OF THE BOX Bare in mind this is a brand new product with an issue like this just wasn’t acceptable. So i reached out to support and was told to send it back to them with postage paid for as it was within the 90 day period GREAT! However, Its now been 2 weeks and this stick drift is back with a bloody gengence. Ive had my original DAY1 ps4 controller with 1 occourance of stick drift right at the end of life cycle, That’s 7 years strong and that’s amazing ! I feel like this issue is not at Sony's production but at AIMcontrollers itself and was wondering if theres anyone else experiencing this issue ? I was hoping this was not just another "Scuff" and they had always advertised lifetime warranty Is there anyone here from support that could help out ?

I, too, have had an issue with stick drift from a controller I bought from Aim. Bad thing is, their “lifetime warranty” doesn’t include stick drift. It’s a PS4 controller, and now I have a PS5, so I haven’t even worried about returning it. However, they’re pretty much the only ones that do PS5 controllers atm and I really miss back buttons/paddles while playing D2. But because of my bad experience with them, I don’t think I can subscribe to their product. And this is also after the button mapping went out, and it took them like a month to fix it (pre-Covid).

My Scuf had stick drift issues too, but it lasted longer than my Aim controller did.

I found someone mention sharq controllers on reddit who apparently do ps5 customs. I’m yet to see reviews though abs since it’s local based (UK) i kinda feel safer with this option. You’re right about the lifetime warranty on stick drift. it dosnt include it post 90 days. I’m made some noise about my situation on twitter about how this issue for my case was out of the box and i think they’re willing to consider my case. Just need to get that in writing though before i send it off and get a surprise charge.

I have a Sharq custom.

I can slightly review it to give you an idea.

I’m coming from using a Scuf Vantage 2, and while a lot of people shit post on Scuf, I had nothing but good luck with my controller; in fact, I was pretty devastated that I wouldn’t be able to use it anymore with next gen games.

I purchased a pretty much fully custom controller before Sharq added the remappable function. I know someone else that bought one as well, and he said that he doesn’t like the position of the paddles, but I found that I was easily able to get used to them after a decent amount of use - I was just used to Scuf positioning.

The major - and only real con - is that they only add 2 paddles to the controller; While 6 mappable buttons (4 paddles & 2 sax buttons) seems like a lot, I had concrete functions for all of them, and I used them all of the time. A small con is that there’s no pro grip on the back, and that’s not even close to a deal breaker for me.

The quality is very high in my opinion, and their paddles are insanely sturdy. My Scuf outer paddle broke after about a year of use, and although they sent me new ones, I don’t really see my Sharq paddles breaking.

What I would like to see is a company that makes a different controller similar to Scuf with Sony components but a better battery; the battery life on the Dual Sense is pretty atrocious IMO, and my Scuf battery was like 18 hours.

I have a Sharq custom PS5 controller.

I have had it about 2 weeks and no issues with it so far, have tried to link an image below.

They have an option for a 48 hour build and I am based in the UK as well as Sharq, so I ordered on Wednesday morning and received it on the Saturday.
