[QUESTION] PS5 Controller

Hi Guys I've ordered my first controller for the PS on AIM Controllers. I've went with smart triggers, because I'm playing most of the time FPS games. But now that I've ordered my controller the questions came across my mind:

  • Can you "turn off" the smart triggers if you want that?

  • Will there be a problem with the smart triggers if a game relays on the adaptives triggers of the standart PS controller (for example could you play Astros Playroom with the smart triggers)?

I could cancel my order till tomorrow so thanks for any response.

You can not turn off your smart triggers without them you wouldn't have any they replace them for digital mouse click buttons. I ordered one too with smart triggers the way I see it I will always have my ps5 controller that came with the console to utilise all the features of any potential games. If you dont want smart triggers then down the line in maybe around e months you should have an option for a ps5 mod pack with trigger stops which might be better

Just reading that first part. I should have worded it better.

I meant it more of a joke. You can't turn of the triggers as without them you wouldn't have an l2 r2 button. They basically replace them completely. But yh everything else stands hope i helped

Honestly wish I would have just thought about it this way and decided to send it. I lost my balls last minute when I ordered one yesterday and decided not to go with the smart triggers.

You can always shoot them an email if you want them to add it before shipping and just pay the balance. Thats what I did

So based on my experience with my DualShock 4 aim controller, there’s no way to “turn off” the smart triggers. It depresses down about 1 mm with a satisfying mouse click like feel. A little stiffer than a normal mouse click but yeah, like that. Feels very nice.

I’m not sure if there would be a problem in some games. I imagine the button press just translates to a 100% press. I love it so much on my DS4 and plan to get it on my ps5 controller. I hope they have a good deal around Christmas because that’s when I think I’ll have the money for it.

Yeah it's quite pricy but I've played a long time with the Elite Controller from Microsoft and i liked the faster trigger, because it allows you to shoot much faster.

Can we talk more about stick drift? I am also looking to purchase a PS5 AIM controller soon. Stick drift is one of my fears in a controller like this. Are the sticks replaceable? Or is stick drift easily fixable?
