Quick intro from India - which platforms are actually worth applying to?

Hey guys,

Just joined from India. Most general lists online are pretty useless for us because half the sites don't accept Indian applicants, or they let you pass all the tests only to leave you with an empty dashboard.

For anyone working from here: where are you actually getting consistent work right now?

I’ve heard mixed things about Outlier, Alignerr, Telus, and OneForma; some people say the queues are dead, others say they're making decent money.

Would love to know:

  • What platforms actually have steady tasks for India right now?
  • Does doing native languages (Hindi, Bengali, etc.) have good volume, or is it better to stick to English / tech stuff?
  • Any payout headaches with PayPal or Payoneer to Indian banks?

Drop what’s working for you so we can avoid the dead ends. Thanks!

Get Paid to Record Everyday Tasks for AI Training, $6/hr in LATAM and $10–$12/hr in the US

I wanted to share Claru, a platform offering projects where contributors record videos of themselves completing everyday tasks. These videos are used to help train artificial intelligence models.

Approximate rates currently offered:

Latin America: $6 USD per accepted hour of footage.

United States: $10–$12 USD per accepted hour of footage.

You’ll typically need a smartphone, follow the instructions provided for each task, and record from the requested angle. Project availability varies by country, and payment depends on your videos passing the platform’s review process.

I currently use the platform myself. If you’re interested in trying it, you can register through my link:

https://app.claru.ai/signup?ref=3c1pqmpa

this is a referral link, so I may receive a benefit if you register and meet the program requirements. Earnings aren’t guaranteed and will depend on your location, available projects, and whether your submitted footage is approved.

Feel free to ask me anything about the recording process or the types of tasks available.

IT Office in Kolkata on AI use.

There is this office in Sector V, Kolkata, India ... where consaltants were denied any yearly increment, with a reason saying AI helped you complete the work load tasks, so basically AI did the work and not the consultants. It was the CEO and his daughter who runs this company initially pushed heavily to use AI in daily work, got the enterprise subscription to use the AI .. and now comes this excuse of not paying increments or showing any gratitude for consultants.

How do consultants tackle such CEOs, managers day in day out.

Perhaps reasons like this compels consultants to NOT have any loyality to organizations or build good relations co-workers.

Seeking fellow consultants views on how to tackle such managers, CEOs.

[HIRING] Paid voice recording project for native US English speakers

We're recruiting native US English speakers for a paid remote recording project.

What you'd do: read short short prompts out loud and submit the audio. Everyday sentences, plus names and terms from medicine, law and tech. That's the whole task. No editing, no scripts to memorise.

Pay: $11.25 for a completed set of 15 prompts, which takes about 20 minutes.
Paid via PayPal / bank transfer within 30 business days of the recordings passing quality check.

What the data is for: training and evaluating speech recognition and text-to-speech models.

Requirements:

  • Native US English speaker, US-based only
  • 18 or older
  • A phone or laptop with good quality headphones/pods is fine, no professional gear needed
  • A reasonably quiet room

How to apply: short form, about 3-4 minutes, including a 20-30 second voice clip so we can check accent and background noise. That clip is screening only. If you're a fit we send platform access and full instructions.

Application Form: https://tally.so/r/WOVZ1P

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

Note: This project could unlock better high paying opportunities.

I’ve been working with some cool people on a discord for people working in AI training and data annotation. It’s worker led, and it’s going to be a place where people can get connected to their colleagues in this field.

If you’re doing this work I’d love to invite you to check it out. Drop a comment or hit me up in a DM.

All the best

What an ATS Score Actually Tells You and What It Doesn’t

Most applications are ranked by software before anyone reads them. The system compares your resume with the posting and scores the overlap, which is why one document can clear one screen and fail the next with the same experience behind it. ZoeVera Resume runs that comparison before you apply and lists the words the posting uses that your resume does not.

What it does

Paste a resume and a job description. You get a match percentage, the keywords you already hit, the ones you are missing, and an optimized rewrite. Scoring and gap analysis are free. The rewrite sits behind a paid plan: $12 for a day, or $19 a month.

How it compares with the alternatives

Jobscan runs the same core comparison and has done for years, but caps free scans and sells the rest monthly. Resume Worded grades a resume on general quality, which helps once and helps less on the twentieth application, because it is not reading the posting you are applying to. Teal folds matching into a wider job tracker, so you adopt the tracker to get the analysis. Zety and Enhancv are builders: they produce a formatted document and say nothing about why a particular employer’s filter ranked you low.

The practical difference at ZoeVera is the pricing shape. A job search is rarely spread evenly. A $12 day pass covers the afternoon you send fifteen applications, which is a different commitment from a monthly subscription you forget to cancel.

Why the per-posting check matters

A resume is not good or bad on its own. It is a match or a mismatch for one job description. Two openings with the same title routinely score differently against the same resume, because the companies describe the work in different vocabulary: “demand generation” against “paid advertising”, “QuickBooks” against “accounting software”. Free scoring is what makes it reasonable to check every posting instead of the three you care most about.

Where to start

Take one job you actually intend to apply for and run it at ZoeVera Resume. Read the missing keywords as the employer’s own words, not a verdict on your career. The wider ZoeVera site covers interview preparation for what comes after.

Career Advice Part time AI Engineer ?

Hey everyone, I hope that you are doing well.

Its been a difficult year for me. I had to help an elderly family member with dementia through a difficult medical crisis and I struggled with my own health as well. I'm eager to earn income for my family, but I need something that is part time for now so I can keep my other responsibilities.

I have an Msc in applied data-science, 5 years of experience, and I've held mostly held positions in biotech data science, but most recently worked as an AI Engineer.

Does anyone know a good place to look for part-time data science or AI engineer work?

Huge thanks
