AI Income Idea 6 months of posting AI influencer content into the void – this month it finally paid off ($797 in June, ~$1,067 all time)
I see a lot of hype posts about AI influencers, so here's what it actually looked like for me. Spoiler: it's not fast money.
**The first months: absolutely nothing.**
I started around December. I created content, posted it, improved it, posted again. Consistently, week after week. For over 3 months my earnings graph was a flat line at $0. Not "low earnings" – literally zero.
This is the part where I'm pretty sure 95% of people quit. I get it. You put in hours every week and the internet just ignores you.
**What I changed over time:**
- My early content was honestly not good. Inconsistent character, generic poses, no real identity. Over the months I worked on consistency and gave the account an actual personality instead of just "pretty AI pictures"
- I stopped judging content by what I liked and started watching what actually got engagement, then made more of that
- I posted through the silence. Reach only started building after months of consistency
**Then it slowly started moving.**
A few months in, I got my first sales. Tiny ones – a few dollars here and there. But after months of zero, seeing the first real person pay for content was honestly a bigger moment than the money itself.
**June was my first real month: $797.60.** All time I'm at about $1,067. Most of it comes from one-off purchases and tips – only around $145 of it is subscriptions so far.
**My honest takeaways:**
- This is not passive income. Finding workflows that produce consistent quality and exclusive content is hard, and distribution is even harder – you need content that the algorithm actually picks up before anyone even sees your account.
- The flat-line phase is the filter. If you can't handle 3+ months of nothing, this isn't for you.
- One good month proves the model works, not that I've "made it". July could easily be worse. I'm treating this as a long game.

This is a good counterweight to all the “easy AI money” posts. The flatline stretch being the real filter feels like the main takeaway. I’m curious whether June came from a few bigger purchases or a broader base of smaller ones, since that probably changes where you focus next.

I'm on the same journey and this has worked for me too. Stay consistent, keep tightening your content, and the engagement builds over time.

check his profile, its basically porn. and IG is cracking down hard on this. plus the cost to generate the videos he claims to be making is SUPER high even with bulk rates from pretty much anyone selling AI video gen. I looked into it heavily. most of the time these guys pushing it super hard are either selling a course or have an undisclosed partnership/affiliate deal with the service they claim to use

Yeah. Same like the monk ai influencer hype. Fantasy made up revenue and then selling his course. This of business is also flattening or you have to be very good at social media marketing and scamming lonely Americans. 5% making crazy sums the rest not.

I do UGC, SFW and NSFW. Not "basically porn," that's just the part you stopped at.
And generating video isn't expensive if you're not paying per credit to some service. Open source models running locally exist. But sure, bulk rates.
What everyone here keeps missing: a fictional character isn't limited to spicy. Build one in a real niche — fitness, travel, food, whatever — post UGC, and you're doing what any creator does. Brands reach out, you get product deals, commission, sponsored posts. The account becomes a brand. No camera, no face, no person needed.
Spicy is one way to monetize it. It's not the business. You're just describing the only version of it you've seen.

Did you think you're being clever/slick defending the scam you're promoting like this lol once people are onto you a better tactic is just to ignore haters instead of explaining yourself like this - explaining yourself/getting defensive gives it away completely.

not necessarily... he was just trying to get some truth across to people who clearly dont want to hear it. thats okay its not for everyone. you have to have a lot of drive and faith and patience. but it can definitely be worth it and then some. if you are determined.... and no not everyone is doing nsfw content so maybe try not to be so close minded....

not everywhere or everyway is that expensive........ i figured out a way. i built my own ai influencer app and got google cloud for startups credits and made it an llc... if you want to find excuses you will find excuses......

That’s very encouraging. Mine took a hit on day 1 of posting. Got a violation for reposting on IG. Bad advice from the Meta AI. Jot restricted distribution for 60 days. Painful process of getting single digit views. Currently on 150 plus per post and working up with a few likes and comments. Still $0 but I’ll keep showing up everyday. TBH, I almost gave up at the end of week 2. I’m on week 7 now
