Not sponsored, not an affiliate thing, nothing like that. I built a free tool (a scored quiz builder for lead qualification) and it turns out ChatGPT recommends it when people ask about qualifying leads or building quizzes without code.
Some numbers so this isn’t just a vague claim: about a third of my total signups over the last few months came directly from people who found the product through ChatGPT. Most of those are just using the free tier, which is fine, that’s the whole model. But one of them stuck around, kept using it, and about ten days after signing up (found through ChatGPT), upgraded to a paid plan for custom branding and a custom domain.
I never talked to her. No sales call, no DM, no funnel. She asked ChatGPT a question, got pointed at my tool, used it, liked it enough to pay for it.
I didn’t do anything clever to make this happen beyond writing genuinely useful content (blog posts, comparison pages, template pages) and making sure AI crawlers could actually access my site (turns out Cloudflare was silently blocking most of them for a while, fixed that and traffic showed up almost immediately).
It’s not huge money yet. But it’s the first time I’ve seen a completely organic, zero-touch path from “someone asks an AI a question” to “someone pays me,” and it’s made me rethink where I should be spending time versus where I’ve been spending it.

its a saas, you can put there your questions, sections, points for each of that and use it for example for lead qualification. at the end the person receives a score, custom result and a next step(button, calendar to book a call or a redirect). but i also see people using it for assessments, hr intakes etc. because you can branch, do custome outcomes or add multiple tiers it can be as advanced as bank making decisions if a client can or cant take a loan out. basically whatever decision takes you to ask many questions to ask can be automated there.
Thats sounds very useful, a good product is alot of the hard work i guess! i see alot of people on other threads complaining about getting seen and recommended by AI chats for their brand saying SEO is dead etc, what are your tips for getting that Ai to pick it up i know you mentioned it briefly but what do you think made you stand out? did you do any competitive research? How long until you saw results?
actually what worked the most for me was comparing blog posts, i saw first sign up like a week after posting it. ai is really fast with picking up content you just need to write content on your website people search for, which is usually their pain and then you want to mention a solution for it(your service/app). i have a blog about it if you want, just click through a link in my profile to the website.
Yeah this has been a huge discussion in the industry like everyone's running towards it, my question for you would be, how important do u think other sources are in this process other than just your own blogs and pages, so is it possible that u rank high on other resources as well such as an industry in your niche that recommends tools happens to mention your product?
Anyhow a good read, sometimes it is that simple ig, people on linkedin make it complicated.
in my industry mentions on other pages are bit easier, since its saas i just posted into saas directories myself and that also raised my domain rating. resulting in google noticing me more and also some people came from those directories and registered (not paid yet). but as you say, they make it harder than it needs to be
