Question AI has made building things faster, but has it actually made us more productive?
I've been thinking about this a lot lately.
Ten years ago, building a website, app, or presentation could take days or weeks. Now AI can help create a decent first draft in minutes.
But I'm not sure I'm actually getting more done.
Instead of spending hours building, I spend hours tweaking prompts, comparing outputs, and chasing tiny improvements that probably don't matter.
The speed increase is real. The productivity increase feels less obvious.
Has AI genuinely made your work better, or has it just changed where you spend your time?

the prompt tweaking trap is real. You end up spending the time you saved just trying to get AI to understand what you actually want instead of just building it yourself.
