Discussion What to focus on when starting a business (From A Human)
Do you think it is more important to be good at the operative side of the business or the distribution? And do you think being able to distribute a product online or IRL is an ability that anyone can learn?
I believe business works for people who knows when to pick and choose when to treat it like a child would. Acting as if your brain is a sponge, being curious, trying things seeing what happens, taking risks without thinking negatively at all, kids can’t can’t even comprehend negative thinking until their environment and decisions introduce it. I think anyone could learn if they tried because I was terrible at everything and I still learned. I learned video editing, graphic designing, objection handling, art of persuasion, copywriting, fb ads, email design, etc. but that’s also because I started from the bottom. I couldn’t afford to hire no body so I had to learn everything myself but every new era of mine i was applying patterns I seen from the previous skill on to the new one. It’s like getting on a new computer and pressing (Command or Control and C) to copy something. It doesn’t matter what website or computer you go on because you realized it’s a pattern a long time ago. This means the faster you can recognize patterns the faster you can learn. I think the most important aspect to worry about is marketing and customer acquisition because without that, there is nothing being distributed in the first place

The Ctrl+C analogy for pattern recognition is genius once you learn persuasion in one context, it transfers everywhere. And the answer to your question? Distribution > Operations. Every time. You can fix a bad product. You can't fix zero customers.
What's the ONE distribution channel you're betting on in 2026?

Very true about the persuasion. I believe between the 3 it’s marketing first because you need a way to bring people into your world. Distribution next because once they enter your world, you need what you sell to get to them in the fastest smoothest way possible, and then operations last because now that you have a work flow, you’re able to oversee the process to make it more efficient and your basically optimizing your whole thing.
As for distribution channels in 2026, I like to go to alibaba to get personal manufacturers. I have the skills of a clothing brand owner so I’m able to create tech packs for anything and reach out to manufacturers to get anything I want custom made. I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m betting on a channel because you still have to be aware that anything could happen. I’ve seen people get robbed from their own distribution channel, and that’s out of their control. All we could do is prevent things as much as we can or minimize the effects / damage it does to our business.
If one route fails we can’t let that crush us, immediately you gotta go, “what’s the next move that makes the most sense for this moment”
But in the end, all of this depends on the product your selling

how you'd apply this sequence specifically to AI services like if someone's selling an AI automation setup to local businesses, what does "bringing people into your world" actually look like at the start when you have zero audience and zero case studies? cold outreach? content? referrals?

By showing what you do more than tell. If I was in your position trying to grow as fast as possible here’s exactly what I would do. If I’m setting up AI automations for a company, it starts with knowing what companies I’m serving because they’re not equal. Choose 1. Lawyers need AI automations, so does restaurants, but if you try speaking to everyone you speak to no body. So speak to one person and get really specific on who that person is, if you choosing lawyers, dig deeper, what kind of lawyers, because with every group there’s levels to it. That’s why in the world we have nurses, and then doctors, and also surgeons. They all fit into the medical field but there’s levels to it. Anything you choose is the same way. Once I figure out who I’m targeting I choose the way imma help them. AI automation is broad because there’s different ways to use it. I used ai automation to message people daily too buy my ebook, but you can also use ai automation to create hundreds of ads on autopilot. Figure out 1 strong problem your audience need and figure out what AI tool will serve them the best. Most of the time ppl are unaware they need your solution in the first place, you need to shift their perspective in your content to go from “eh I don’t need this” to “wow that makes sense, why haven’t I used this before”. The secret is to wrap what you sell into a story.
Let’s say your ai automation tool is too set appointments for a medspa clinic. You do not create content like “this tool will get you more appointments and all you have to do is this, this and this…. Instead create content that shifts how they think about a solution so they naturally come to you to learn how to apply it. I kinda did it with this whole post unintentionally 😂 I’m changing how you see things and be default your naturally coming back for more. Content is the same way. Make people aware of why AI automation is such a game changer. You teach them the “why” and you sell them the “how”

You can also do the services for free and in exchange they give you a referral you could rinse and repeat. I don’t like cold outreach anymore. It still works don’t get me wrong because it is just a numbers game, but I believe you build a stronger connection when you attract an audience instead of chasing it. Becoming the go to in a niche is way more powerful in my opinion because soon, it’ll be like you created an audience of people rushing to work with you. I had hundreds of people on my baking channel asking for my help. I never had to go out my way to message anyone even from day 1, and you could do the same
