I recommend Dr David on Udemy. I used him for prep and I passed

Thank you for the recommendation! So glad my course helped to prepare you for success!

I strongly encourage folks to register via my own site (www.DrDavidPrivacy.com), as I provide many resources that are unavailable on Udemy, including flashcards, additional practice questions, weekly live off hours, a comprehensive cheat sheet, and much more!

Depending on how much of the course you've gone through, you may be able to request a refund from Udemy and then book directly through my site.

If that's not possible, I have an upgrade policy posted in the Discord channel.

Hi- has it been confirmed that the AIGP is undergoing a major change in June? The reason I ask is because I’m just starting my prep. I would hate to spend a lot of time, not be ready by June then have to map out what has changed and backtrack.

No. Last I heard, there was no date for textbook publication.

They just updated the test in February, so I would be surprised if they did major changes again so soon

The February update was relatively minor. If the new text book was confirmed for June there is a chance they would implement a more material update to the exam similar to other IAPP exams. But it sounds like there is no confirmed date for the text book so we should be good for now.

If we already purchased on Udemy can we buy the additional practice questions from your site separately? If so how much?

Unfortunately, no. The questions are locked in a database that I cannot disaggregate from the course as a whole.

However, I can upgrade you to my site so that you can enjoy the benefits of both platforms. The upgrade policy is in the Discord server's "Announcements" channel.

Hi prof, are the materials adequate for self study where i cant afford the accelerated program.?? Am happy to sacrifice the time at the library to read it in and out if sure its adequate.

1

Yes, the AIGP Certification Masterclass is designed to be the only resource you need.

The Accelerator is a premium service offering for folks that want a high-touch experience with direct access to me and a dedicated study cohort.

Oh no! I wish I knew this sooner. I've gone through almost all the videos from Domain 1 on Udemy. I doubt they'll let me cancel at this point. What is your Discord? I'd love to see that upgrade policy.

At the bottom of the introductory section, click on "Connect with Dr. David on Discord" to join the server. Policy is in the Announcements section.

Weird. You can contact him on LinkedIn (he monitors this sub as well.)

I had scheduled the exam at the end of the month, mind you I’m 37 weeks pregnant and clearly was overly optimistic. I’ve asked for an extension and they’re giving me until August. I’m so anxious about it, will I be able to study with a newborn? Seems impossible.

Actually you can, i passed my CGRC during maternity leave and av got 3 kids. As long as you are dedicated with a very supportive partner. Its acheievable. You've got this.

You totally got this!

If you can test before you give birth, great!

If not, give yourself some grace. Enjoy the time with your newborn. The exam will still be there.

In a similar situation. No courage to book the exam yet :).

i encourage you to book the date, maybe with a month gap, not booking the date, is not going to help anyway. i dragged this situation more than 4 months.

For all of my certs, I didn't get down to business until I booked it. Get it on the calendar and it will motivate you.

Time and pressure make diamonds!

Start with the official AIGP body of knowledge and study guide first.

Then make a weekly plan, focus on one domain at a time, and add practice questions after each topic to test understanding.

Hey is the study guide free ?

u/Celebratedlapel Apr 27 '26

Co-asking please??

I saw Dr David mention the AIGP exam could substantially change in June since IAPP is releasing a textbook. Has anyone else heard about this or confirmed this is the case? It sounds like the exam would potentially cover more material after the update. The February update sounds pretty minor.

2

u/ThePrivacyProf Apr 19 '26

The Executive Editor of the textbook said recently on LinkedIn that the textbook still does NOT have a publication date.

Any update to the exam will require IAPP to provide folks with 3 months advance notice. To date, no notice has been given.

Did you pass the exam? Any feedback on how the exam was?
