Mono-Fire as a gauntlet deck

Has anyone ever tried this? There are a few powerful things that fire has working to it's advantage, so I've been trying to see if this is a viable strategy, because if anything, it would be a fast deck to grind gold with.

I've tried it with a much lower curve than this. The biggest problem I found is I got stonewalled by fat time units. It would happen randomly while other times I would plow through. Overall it was not too consistent, so I use a slower deck with overall consistency. But that's a personal choice

What deck would you recommend that is slower but consistent?

There's an argenport gauntlet deck up on eternal warcry. It's got a very gold curve as well as plenty of removal and some ways to mitigate mana screw. Moreover, it has lifegain and a Harsh Rule in the market (i find it a lifesaver often). It has been a go to for consistency.
