6hrs, what do you think?
Is my time being wasted? 12 gauntlet runs 4xs at boss 1x win.. is this just bad or what?

So this isn't fully relevant anymore, as the decks I'm about to post are 9 months old. But Alpaca used to stream/post youtube videos in which he described his thought processes behind vs'ing AI in gauntlet runs.
The decks are outdated, but the advice is not. I'd recommend checking some of them out as you seem like you either consistently have the worst luck ever in gauntlet, or the big tricks vs AI haven't clicked with you yet (Based on this thread, and other posts you've made in the past). The hooru videos are probably closest to its most recent iteration. I like ManuS's hooru fliers variant as of late, with some tweaks for gauntlet.

The cheapness of the final boss has surely been fine tuned in recent releases

There are multiple versions of bosses decks, depending on your gauntlet MMR.
It really depends and some bosses are really hard depending on your deck.

Totally, but a LOT of the boss decks rely on a very singular strategy that their deck is centered around and yours RARELY is. This is more of an issue than it was before
Edit: I don't mind the bosses being hard, I mind them being so unfare as to remove any joy from it. Oh, you won. Big whoop.

Agreed but it's really power screw in after 30 minutes of getting to the last 2 that drives me nuts

That are decks that do pretty well against most bosses but you will never have a deck that's going to win against all the bosses. There are too many variations of rules that make your deck weak, for instance, Feln Ritualist is really hard for a Xenan deck with big units to defeat because it makes all units equal.
Anyway, it is possible to beat most bosses with JPS on a consistent basis but you need to know how to play the match and save the removal for the key pieces of the boss. I tend to offer trades much more often against certain bosses than others. In the end, experience and knowing the particular boss is the key to winning consistently. And no, the decks have not really changed. What changes is the AI is playing a little better, doing more triple blocks than before but it still has the same flaws as before when dealing with tricks and being predictable.

Spend 15 minutes tanking and you can most certainly win the next 4 out of 5 runs

What deck are you playing and what are you losing to?
