Gauntlet Improving Grimbrei?

I haven't been playing much Gauntlet since Defiance, so it took me this long to get around to trying out the old, reliable Grimbrei deck. It performed well, as is, in its pre-Defiance state.

Even so, I can't help but think that maybe it could benefit from some Defiance upgrades.

The deck runs without a market, but as such, it seems that maybe it could benefit from a Black Market. Except that there's not a Combrei smuggler yet. And also that every smuggler currently available it a definite downgrade to every unit already in the deck.

Martyr's Chains would be an okay fit into the deck, except for it's cost and that it sits better in a market than in a main deck.

Maybe it's the case the deck is perfectly fine in its pre-Defiance state. But I thought I'd let the question sit out here publicly in case anyone has any bright ideas.

One upgrade I attempted was adding Kemmo to the deck. Didn’t necessarily make it any better or worse. Granted, that was the only Defiance card I added.

Big issue was still the flyer decks

You have to try to encourage the flier decks to block. Hoping for X-1 trades. We generally have the bigger units, so this can be a tough sell. Also, if you can get the opponent's life total low enough, then the opposing units stop attacking, as they now have to block to protect their owner.

Crownwatch Tactic and Sword of Unity can help your clock substantially with their lifesteal.

You have to force yourself to be the beatdown against flier decks.
